Product Description

Aisling Grey is juggling being a demon lord, a Guardian, and a wyvern's mate, even though she's keeping her distance from said wyvern, Drake, these days. But her presence is still required at a meeting of the green dragons. Since several attempts have been made on her life, Drake is sure to get protective of her. Which might not be a bad thing when war breaks out and all hell breaks loose-literally.

From Booklist
MacAlister's third paranormal Aisling Grey novel takes her heroine and her pet demon, Jim (who looks like a Newfoundland dog), to London, where she is apprenticing to Nora to learn the Guardian trade. She is soon on the hot seat when Jim eats the Imp king, but that may be the least of her problems since the Green and Red dragon clans are now at war, and someone wants her dead. The imps do torch Nora's house so Aisling, Nora, and Jim move into the London mansion of Drake Vireo, green-eyed wyvern, and sparks fly. Then, kidnapped while wearing only a towel, Aisling is pitched from the frying pan into the fire when she is then stolen from her kidnappers and required to draw on her dark powers to vanquish a Demon Lord. MacAlister's crazy paranormal high jinks, delightful characters, and simmering romance between Aisling and Drake will appeal to fans of MaryJanice Davidson's Betsy Taylor, Queen of the Vampires, series. Funny Witty and Full of Action5
Although these books are almost a yr apart for us, they are only a couple of weeks apart for Aisling.

Aisling Grey, Guardian, Demon Lord, and Wyvern's Mate, is in London, living with Nora, her mentor. She is trying to avoid Drake her mate but naturally he finds her to tell her she is needed at a meeting of the Green Wyverns. Nora is also notified that she must stop tutoring Aisling and is being brought before a board for taking her as apprentice.

Drake is trying to understand her position and promises to let her try to take care of her own problems. When she and Drake are togather there are fires literally everywhere. The romance is very hot.

On her first assignment, Jim eats the king of the imps, now the whole imp nation is after her. Not to mention someone has tried to kill her twice so far. Both Gabrial, the Silver Wyvern, and Fiat, the Blue Wyvern, are back. Who can tell what they are up to? Rene, our mysterious cab driver, is also back.

The members of the Otherworld,in Paris, want Aisling to become Venediger. The Demon Lord, Ariton, who is trying to become Lord of Abaddon snatches her to demand that she vote for him. It seems she has a vote on who will rule Abaddon when Baal steps down. We also learn there is a fifth sept of Wyverns, the Black Sept. Drake is now at war with the Red Sept.

Aisling realizes she needs a book of rules for Guardians, a book of rules for Demon Lords, and especially a book for Wyvern's Mates. What she doesn't know can hurt, or maybe kill her, even if she is immortal.

There is so much more, you don't have a minute to take a breath. It is the best one so far, and if you haven't read the others you need to quickly get them. You don't have to read them in order but they are so much better it you do.

I can't recommend this one enough. I LOVED it. The humor is witty, the romance hot, and the action is unstoppable. Gooo!! Aisling!!! and Katie MacAlister.

The most awful part is waiting for the next one to come out.

Fun! 4
This series just keeps getting better. I wish that I had a Drake Vireo in pursuit of me. This is the third book in the series. This is not a stand alone book. The book contained the same crazy cast of characters but added some new aspects to them.

In this book, Jim, the 6th class demon, has eaten the Imp Monarch and now the imps are trying to kill Aisling. Drake has re-entered the picture. Fiat and Gabriel, also wyverns, are trying to get Aisling to be with them.

Aisling is requested by Drake to perform a Green Dragon Sept obligation. It turns out that Drake is asking the green dragon sept for the approval of his mate. Everyone in the sept approves except for his cousin Dimitri. Someone is trying to kill Aisling. There is a new Venediger needed and everyone wants Aisling. Aisling must make peace with the imps, learn to control her dragon fire, be a good demon lord without costing Jim anymore toes, train to be a Guardian, be a mate to Drake, and try to deal with the blue, silver, and red dragon septs. In addition, the red dragons are at war with the green dragons. I love how Aisling handles these problems so nonchalantly. She is so innocent that people think she is dumb. Naturally, she falls headfirst into danger and with her friends somehow wins.

I cannot wait for the next book. Her relationship with Drake is explored in depth in this book. It was wonderful! I laughed out loud during some of the scenes but especially, when she put another demon lord on hold. She decided that he could wait. Just imagine!

If you want to be entertained, love Katie McAlister books, then this book is for you.

By Golly, She's a Professional!4
At least, that's what she keeps insisting throughout the book. No matter how tricky her situation, no matter how convoluted her life becomes I just cannot look away. It's that very reason the character of Aisling Grey continues to entertain with such riveting, side splittingly induced laughter. If ever there was a story of an underdog in paranormal romances, this series is it.

Having recently acquired a mentor in whom to learn all things Guardian, Aisling feels life is finally looking up for her. But then she gets another dose of Otherworld reality upside the noggin and it's back down that slippery slope once more. Once she gets to sliding, it's rather hard for Aisling to stop too. After coming to terms with the stoic Drake, wyvern of the green dragons and her mate, she's ready to take on the responsibilities it entails. Dragon politics are never pretty though and when imps run amuck, demons from Abbadon begin demanding impromptu meetings, and even more prestigious positions in the Otherworld open up to her, it's all Aisling can do to keep her pet demon Effrijim fed and up to date on his walkies.

The one irritant about this series to date is Aisling's continued ignorance. Granted, she's not had much time to get on her studies, but a little boning up on the basic running of the Otherworld would gain her tremendous resources and a little common sense. How she has managed to survive so far with all her bungling is amazing. And therein lies the crux--it just wouldn't be the same Aisling if she were indeed wiser to the happenings around her. This third installment continues on the first two's tradition of non-stop laughter and incredible situations that will leave readers gasping to see how she gets out of current situations. I feel even though she is the main character in the story, she is somewhat of an underdog due to her lack of knowledge about the Otherworld. If she was as knowledgeable as she possibly could be, man oh man she'd be astounding.

The secondary characters that have carried throughout so far, Rene, Jim the demon hound and Drake make each installment that much more a delight to read. I do believe Jim, who is usually the comic relief, is my favorite character of the series with the best lines to boot. Drake, as heroes go, is handsome, very alpha, yet not nearly in focus as our flawed Aisling, but this is a first person novel. Their relationship does gain some positive ground in this installment, but anything can happen in the Otherworld, especially with Aisling in the mix. As always, the incredible events told in this one have opened many new possibilities for Aisling's next set of Guardian adventures. Can't wait to see what she tangles up next!
