one of the most important books I will ever read
I have been waiting for this book for a long time. I teach sacramental theology and I have often wished for a book that would inspire ordinary people to understand and appreciate what takes place in each of the sacraments and what is the meaning of each sacrament in their daily lives. Anselm Grün brings to this enterprise all of his experience as a monk, a theologian, a parish priest, and someone conversant with modern psychology. On every page I have encountered a priest who prays as he administers the sacraments. I have a feeling that this is one of the most important books I will ever read.
