Mathukumalli Vidyasagar is currently Executive Vice President in charge of Advanced Technology at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT firm. good book for robotics basics
This one is really good book for all the people who want to excell in the basics of robotics.It was recomended by my professor for my course.The examples given are too clear and easily understandable.

robotics book
This is a good beginner's look at robotics. I would highly recommend this book.

Used it for Sensor Based Robotics
I can't say this was a bad book, it was good. The only thing I had a problem with is that it could be written better.
Focused more on giving one clear cut explanation instead of elaborating. Helpful hint: Use MATLAB for the homework because it gets messy.
