Mark wrote this book over the course of 17+ years. I first got to know him when he helped me film a short film. His big shining moment was playing the dirty homeless man sprawled out at the park. The main character tripped over him and rolled down the hill.

Mike lent me a copy of the rough studio mix of this album. My personal favorite song didn't make the final cut. "So far away" which the bass player sang. When my band opened up for them, we did an homage to this lost classic, asking his wife to go-go dance on stage while we performed. When we finished, he came up on stage and dumped a pitcher of ice cold water over my head. Friends 4 ever

Desa's guitarist, Adam Davis is both an old friend and a freak. We used to be in a band together. He was known as the guy that wore a prison jump suit and gas mask. Mid-way through the show, he'd strip down to his underwear and do the 'Russian Rap.' This was the peak of live music. Everything has been downhill since.

Everything changed for MU330 when Gerry Strongquist joined the band. Maybe they wouldn't become more famous or sell more records, but they would have more fun. Whenever I see Gerry, I go where he goes and do what he does. I'd advice you to do the same.

I think this was Skankin Pickle's best album, even though they didn't write most of the songs. I toured with them as roadie when they put this out. I tried to become best friends with their bass player, Jay. It went well at first, till I took some of his potato at Arby's and he declared our best friendship over. Then he quit the band and started his own group with only robots.

I went to San Jose State to study film & TV. (if I haven't already stated) One of my teachers made this film. I thought she was a really good insightful teacher, and was surprised when I actually saw the movie. Oh well, it's not like any of my movies were good.

So, I'm grasping at straws here...I know that. I am referring to Lex (who was on season 3 as well.) But let me say that I have eaten enchiladas at his house with him and his family before. So I say that seals the deal. Put him on the list.

The bass player (I think it was the bass player...) from this band used to come into 7-11 when I worked there. He was a born again Christian now, and was working on a book about the years he spent being homeless. He went off the grid on purpose so he could better learn about these people. He saw me reading David Sedaris and pegged me as a reader, giving me the first few chapters to read.

my friend, Chris Garcia wrote the introduction to this book. Chris is most famous for his zine, Drink Tank. There are no Drink Tank compilations on Amazon, yet. So you should google it read it on-line if you care to learn more. I tried to write an article for Chris once, and all i could come up with was a two page angry rant about how pop-culture deficient I am and that I hate the world.

This was the other release my old ska band was on. (not gonna mention the name again. If you want to find out then go to the previous entry.) This CD, there were fewer bands. Therefore each band got several songs. And you'll even get to hear the song I wrote about Joey Lawrence.

The mysterious AJ Junker appeared briefly in a scene in the bonus footage to this DVD. In the shot, Borat, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, enters the San Francisco theater. He pivots towards the audience, grabs AJ (the short bearded freak) and kisses him on the lips. Applause fills the stadium. A photo of this kiss nearly made AJ famous for several months, as it appeared on the home page of myspace.

I interned on a independent movie called, "Drifting Elegant." Since one of my duties was to cart actors around, I consider them all close personal friends. (Even though they've stopped answering my calls.) First up from Drifting Elegant is actor Donnie Kershawarz. He was in an episode of Lost. One of the Sayid flashbacks.

Third on Drifting Elegant: Jennifer Mudge. I never did drive her around, but I got her plenty of coffee. In other words...best friends 4-ever

I used to be roommates with their old keyboard player, Peter "The Cow-man" Cowan. Peter and I used to geek out and listen to each other's vinyl collections in the living room. Maybe have a beer. Discuss issues of the day...

Gilbert (or Aaron?) played Reno in this movie. He also starred in a short film I made for college. In my film, he played a guy whose wife finds a bloody jacket in the closet. He gets suspicious, convinces her that it's nothing, has a big relationshipy fight, then she submits. He steps outside to throw it away. Only, when he's gone, she calls the police. Powerful stuff.

Middagh Goodwin put this compilation out. I toured with him. We were both lowly roadies on the Skankin Pickle tour. By the way, I signed two autographs on that tour while putting the drums away. People, I guess, mistook me for the drummer. Sweet! Middagh, if you haven't been watching the news, has been running for president. I don't think he won.

My friend Shannon's father is the world famous actor Kurtwood Smith. Here he plays the main bad guy. His most famous role is "Red," the father on that 70's show. I've never met Kurtwood, but Shannon & I used to play together in the garage punk band, "The Sudsmen!" The drunkest band in the west coast. Our big gimmick was that we wore empty beercases over our heads. People loved it.

Nick, Danielle Steel's son fronted this band. (who I knew) My friend Mike released it. Later after this album my friends Adam & Seth would join this band. This hella belongs on the list. I should bump it up to the number six position! What do you at home think?

I don't know Greg Camp, but I have met him once. In fact I interviewed him. (not to mention that he's San Jose. I'm San Jose. Think about it!) He's a nice guy. He used to hang out at the Cactus Club, which is an old defunct San Jose dive club. The Cactus was the first "club" I ever hung out myself. Another slam dunk.
