Alleviate your mind!
Although this urine protein test should not take the place of a physical exam, if you are anxious about your kidney function, for whatever reason-and wish a quick assessment without expensive lab tests- this is the way to go. If your test shows an abnormal protein problem, it gives you a solid base for a consultation with your doctor. If the test is entirely normal you can relax. The assessment is made by comparing the color of the end of the dip stick with colors ranging from yellow for normal with gradations in green up to a blue-green. The little test should tell you what you need to know for starters and you can take it from there or drop the issue if there's no problem!

it was hard to read
the color on the control stick was darker than the test paper. it was hard to compare, I still don't know

It seems to have worked
I haven't been to a doctor in 5 years due to trust issues, so I'm just relying on test strips and such to see if I'm having any problems. I've become incontinent, so I got this and the UTI test strips and they both came back negative, so I guess I don't have a problem there!

I guess they work great - truly, I haven't been to a doctor in 5 years, so I haven't followed up on the negative results I received from using these strips.
