Customer Reviews
Son loves it....that's what counts
It's what my son wanted and it was cheaper here than anywhere else...I think it's kinda cheesey, but he seems to like it, which is what matters in the end....
Ok for my nephew, but not what I expected
I gave this mostly mediocre reviews because it really does not transform. You can bend it around so that it becomes a car, but it still looks like a robot bent into a car.
It also didn't capture my 3yo nephew's attention for much time.
Bumblebee - A friendlier Transformer
We purchased this Transformer for my six year old brother last Christmas. I opted for this version rather than some of the more complex and action-figure type ones. It's held up pretty well over the last several months. Mind you, that the Transformer has been played with by several children ranging from 3-8 years old.
The one thing that I'll say about this Bumblebee is that the sounds on it can become a bit annoying if you're kid likes to press buttons. Sometimes I swear they'll be five minutes where all I'll hear is the sounds and Bumblebee talking. The batteries have held up, though! As for the wear, the only thing that doesn't work at the moment is that his left arm's sound stopped working (I'm not too worried about that since that means less sound to hear). Other than that, he works just as he was taken out on Christmas Day.
One of the great things about this Transformer is that unlike some of his smaller counterparts, he's very light. So, if you have boys that tend to throw their toys (even if somtimes they're "flying"), you're going to end up having less trouble with other kids getting hurt from getting hit by Bumblebee. This version as I said is lighter, bigger, and brighter. Those features come in handy when your kid decides that Bumblebee has to come along, it makes it a lot easier to locate and transport him.
Overall, a good buy.
