Back on CYBERTRON, before the war, DECEPTICON HEAVY LOAD was a brilliant chemist and engineer, specializing in optimizing fuel mixtures to increase the energy efficiency of all mechanoid life. Repeated exposure to toxic chemicals over hundreds of years slowly degraded his cognitive systems, turning him into someone none of his friends recognized. As his brain module rotted, he grew more withdrawn, and began to focus more on his failed experiments the ones that had poisoned his test subjects. Now, he develops poisons and corrosive bombs for whichever DECEPTICON gangs can pay his fees, and continues his experiments on helpless AUTOBOT captives.

Don't loose the key
My kids (4 and 6) were excited to get these for X-mas. (I bought two from the series.) My 6-year old picked this as the one toy to take with him to the family get-to-gether.

The transformation from truck to robot is prety cool, but a little over their heads. The toys seem a little fragile, but so far (3 days) they are holding up fine.

The one thing that worries me is that both came with a key to open up the weapon systems that is likely to get lost. It seems that you would be able to jam something else in the slot to open the chamber, but that would wreck some of the fun. Also, the projectiles will likely get lost, but you could still play with the toy without them.

This particular modal alse has a problem with the cement mixer pieces around his right arm. They keep popping off.

I think they were worth the discounted price, but if you only want to buy one, pick a different one.

Wonderful addition to any Transformers Collection
My 7 year old is a Transformer addict. We bought this a year ago and it is still a favorite Transformer. As an adult, I admit I have more issues trying to transform these creatures than my son, but he whips through it quickly. As with just about all Transformers this has pieces that could be easily lost, but if your child is into Transformers, they already know that and most keep pretty good track of where they shoot the projectiles or put the smaller pieces. All in all, this is a very cool Transformer.

My grandson loves all his Transformers. This one ranks right up there with Optimus Prime, his very favorite! This was a great toy for a great price! I am a VERY satisfied customer!
