Columbia Cougar Flats Six to Eight-Person Two-Room Cabin TentColumbia Cougar Flats Six to Eight-Person Two-Room Cabin Tent
The best large tent out there. It's not cheap, but the quality is high and is quite spacious. Perfect for long camping trips where tent is center of activity.
Wenger Lugano 16- by 10-Foot Two-Room Eight-Person Family Tent with CanopyWenger Lugano 16- by 10-Foot Two-Room Eight-Person Family Tent with Canopy
I am in the camping business, and set this tent up within 5 minutes with a friend. I love the tent. It's a 2-room tent that has plenty of room for 2 queen sized air beds on both sides, and allows for tremendous ventilation . I think the key to big Family tents is a combination of square feet and height--particularly in cabin tents where one can walk around. Love this tent.
Eureka! Copper Canyon 1512 Twelve-Person 15-Foot by 12-Foot Family TentEureka! Copper Canyon 1512 Twelve-Person 15-Foot by 12-Foot Family Tent

Eureka is one of my favorite brands. The name stands for quality whether it's with the smaller and lighter Timberline series or with these cabin tents. I first saw it in the summer of 2007, and thought it was quite attractive. Features are similar (and slightly larger than the Cougar Flats), it's a bit pricier, but has to be in the discussion for high-end family cabin-style tents.
Coleman Red Canyon 17-Foot by 10-Foot 8-Person Modified Dome TentColeman Red Canyon 17-Foot by 10-Foot 8-Person Modified Dome Tent
Buy new: $90.31 / Used from: $84.99
This is a more affordable tent. One within reach with Coleman's brand behind it. I saw this set-up in the last 12 months, and was told it was easy to set-up and the video on the product page tells the story well. I think the biggest thing one loses with this tent is the "cabin style". The design of the tent is intended to withstand higher wind gusts, but offers less head room.
