Perfect short guide to Boston
This short guide is an accurate run down on all the Boston essentials. Ratings are very accurate (I've actually lived in Boston for 18 years). It's not encyclopedic on every possible thing happening in the city, but rather tells you what you should really consider if you don't have all the time in the world. If you're looking for a short, to-the-point but fairly comprehensive guide to the best of Boston, this is for you.

My only caveat on this book is that it's so-so for food and lodging. Use the web (TripAdvisor or Zagat or chowhound) for that.

JUST OKAY
I don't believe this book is a must have. I was very disappointed. This is just another cliche-ridden guidebook. I learned more about Boston from Frommers Irreverent Guide to Boston. In my opinion, that is truly a must read.
