Best High Capacity MP3 Player on the market5
Sleek design makes it much more attractive than the iPod Classic. Although the battery life is only rated at 30 hours, the Zune beats the iPod hands down.

The navigation on this is so much easier than the scroll wheel. Fidelity is way better than the iPod, audiophiles such as myself can tell the difference, whereas most users won't.

Podcast support on this is amazing. Zune marketplace offers an all you can download subscription for just $14.99/month. Great deal, iTunes does not offer this.

The Zune does not freeze up like the iPod does. Boot time is under 2 seconds, the aluminum back and glass front are scratch resistant, but I still highly recommend getting a case for this.

The screen is absolutely gorgeous, easy on the eyes, and huge font. The resolution is average, 320x240, same as the iPod classic. You will notice the sharpness difference, but I still prefer the larger screen.

Wi-Fi enables wireless syncing and, the FM radio works flawlessly- displaying the station name and song information (if station supports it).

However, if you want le creme de la creme, get the iPod Touch. Double the price with less than half the storage. I chose the 80GB Zune because I needed the space for all my videos and music.

5/5 stars from me.

Great product!4
I am not a newbie, however I am not an iPod user either. I've owned several different MP3 players, from a cheap 1GB generic player to a Creative Labs Zen Vision M (30GB). The Zen now belongs to my 11-year old and she loves it. This Zune is by far the best device I've had. Yes, it has its minor drawbacks - an EQ would've been nice, lack of compatibility with WMP11 (which I know for a fact was a political decision because of EU), however the pros far outweigh the odds, IMHO. The nice size screen, the intuitive interface, the zune pad with the touch buttons (that alone is worth the upgrade from Zen's impossibly sensitive scroll pad!), the ability to see which songs are going to be played next in Shuffle mode. The list goes on and on. The home dock, the travel pack and the armband holder are just a nice plus to get at the same time. All come in very handy and are very well made.

I am not proclaiming that the Zune will magically make the iPod disappear... not do I think it should. I think there's room for both. Zoom Market Place or iTunes? Who cares? If it serves the purpose of the device owner, then everyone should be happy with their choice and let the other consumers enjoy what they like.

Not Good to Run With1
I went through three of the 80-gig Zunes in a two-week period. Every time I tried to go running, the songs would start skipping and the screen would freeze. I couldn't even turn it off! It works fine if you're not moving it at all, but definitely do not use this for exercise!
