Simply place the tea pod in the bottom of the tea pot or mug. Pour boiling water over the tea pod. As the tea steeps the pod will unfurl into a colorful flower. A clear, glass tea pot is recommended to fully enjoy the stunning, floral display. However, the tea flower works just as well in your favorite mug. This unique, specially chosen blend of green tea with jasmine is the same for all 12 flowers included. The flower for each bloom is different and will create a different visual experience each time. Primula tea flowers are individually foil sealed with a 2-1/2-year shelf life. Each tea flower will steep 3 times and makes 15 cups of tea. Each Tea flower can be stored in the covered teapot or a plastic container, and kept in the refrigerator until you want to re-steep it one or two more times.

Each flower can be used three times within a 24 hour period and can brew a total of approximately 15 cups of tea--for over 250 cups of tea in this package. The flowers come in a sealed foil with a 2-1/2-year shelf life. All of Primula Flowering Teas are made from the finest all natural tea leaves, but it is not certified organic, and it is inspected and certified by CIQ, a special Chinese governing agency that works with the approval of the FDA.

Does the tea have Caffeine?
Tea's caffeine level is based mostly on the amount of time that the tea is cooked. Typically, darker (more cooked) teas have higher levels of caffeine. Green Tea contains approximately one quarter of the caffeine found in the same size cup of coffee, while White Tea contains approximately half of the caffeine of Green Tea.

How long do I have to brew my tea for?
Personal preference is the only rule. We recommend 5-7 minutes per pot, but it's best to experiment to find out your own preference first.

How do I re-brew my flower?
We recommend using each Primula Tea Flower up to 3 times in a 24 hour period. After you have enjoyed your first pot of tea, just pour hot water back over the flower and allow it to brew to your desired strength. Many people say that the second pot of tea actually produces the best flavor.

Drinkable Chinese Artistry
I first saw these tea bulbs in Shanghai and I was pleasantly surprised to find Amazon sold them for much less. I love green tea with jasmine, and watching the bulb unfold into a floral work of art is amazing.

Flowering tea
We have a tea club that meets every friday after work in my home. We try different teas and discuss the differences between them and who likes which kind of tea best. I saw this on Amazon and thought we would give it a try. The tea was very good, as good as many of the other quality loose teas we are use to. What we did not expext in addition to the taste sensation was to have a visual gratification from the tea. We sounded like a group of three year olds, "Pretty" "Oh Pretty". All in all it was a great hit. I will put the other pacs away for a few weeks and then pull them out so we can enjoy this tea all over again. P.S. I did have to purchase a glass pot, we could not have enjoyed the visual aspect of this tea in our regular tea pot.
