The versatile Tom Seymour is a professional natuarlist and writer best known for his award-winning newpaper columns and magazine articles abou the outdoor life. His videos and workshops have taught New Englanders about the joys of foraging for more than a decade. A native of Waldo, Maine and expert angler, Tom is also a master of the bagpipes. His previous Falcon books include Fishing Maine and Hiking Maine.

This book is highly recommended to readers with an interest in ecology and the world of nature. The author supplies much hard to find information concerning nature's many hidden treasures: edible plants, medicinal plants, and the like. The book features superb color plates, cross-referencing, and a writing style that says "keep reading...."

Really love this book! Specific to the area, making it easier to learn about plants in New England instead of flipping through pages and pages of plants that are not found in my region. Definitely recommended. It arrived quickly!
