It may feel 2 years late, but for Wii gamers it is just in time. Other console gamers may be enjoying Modern Warfare 2, but the extra time it took to adapt this effectively to the Wii's hardware and control scheme was worth it.

Wii-exclusive. First person shooter. It doesn't compare to the marquis online shooters available on the PS3 or X360, but it offers an outstanding multiplayer experience on the Wii. Metacritic = 78.

This is the best version of one of the greatest games of the last console cycle. It makes outstanding use of the Wii controls and includes all the extra content available from all the previous versions. Metacritic = 91.

Wii-exclusive. Stylistically similar to Suda51's previous game, KILLER7, this one deals with social issues and open-ended gameplay. Kill assassins. The swinging control scheme is visceral and satisfying. Metacritic = 83.

Wii-exclusive. Includes Metroid Prime 3 plus updates of the Gamecube titles Metroid Prime 1 & 2 with new Wii controls. Incredible value for the price, even though Nintendo does tend to repackage and resell a fair bit.

Wii-exclusive. Anticipation was high and reviews have been strong for this dark, stylistic, over-the-top title with lots of gallows humor. Extremely violent (chainsaws, blood, gore). Metacritic = 81.

Outstanding art direction in this sandbox game (ie, GTA-style) that parallels the familiar Godfather story with FMV clips from the first two films. You can actually strangle people and swing weapons with the Wii controls. A must-have for any Godfather fan. Metacritic = 77.

Wii-exclusive. One of the first games to try to utilize the swinging motion of the Wiimote to simulate sword-play. Developers didn't get the controls perfect, but did better than some others. This is an experience you won't find on other consoles. Metacritic = 63.

Wii-exclusive. It seems half of this list is made up of Resident Evil titles and the other half are either light-gun shooters, zombie survival horror games, or both. It is what it is.

Another repackaged remake, but still a great game, especially if you enjoy survival horror.

A solid fighter ported from the last-gen PS2/Xbox game from 2006 by the same name. Unique Wii-mote controls added. Metacritic = 71.

A port of the outstanding X360 game utilizing the innovative controls and engine from the phenomenal hit, RESIDENT EVIL 4. It neither lives up to RE4 nor the 3-year-old Dead Rising original, but it sure is fun. If you're a die-hard zombie fan and have exhausted the RE and HOD options above, it may be worth your time. Metacritic = 61.

A disappointing port of an exceptional 7-year-old PS2 game that was innovative in its day. With a look & setting similar to the GOD OF WAR style game, it does make use of the Wii controls for throwing Rygar's shield. But Tecmo left a lot of potential on the table with this one. Metacritic = 52.
