![]() | Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe DVD
Buy new: $27.99 / Used from: $15.00 This is the newest edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator, released in late 2006. I strongly recommend getting the deluxe edition, because it has many great features that the standard edition doesn't have.

![]() | CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB ( 200-615 )
Buy new: $101.20 / Used from: $249.99 I own this flight yoke, and it is the best flight controller I have ever seen. It is fully customizable, as well. It is also fairly inexpensive compared to the rest of the market.

![]() | CH Products Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals ( 300-111 )
Buy new: $100.18 / Used from: $200.00 These high-tech pedals are excellent for all aspects of flight, from turning to braking to taxiing. They are also very easy to set up.

![]() | Saitek X52 Pro Flight System Controller
Buy new: $142.15 / Used from: $112.50 This system is very expensive, but it has phenomenal technology. The LED screen also has the ability to get real-time information from the game, and display things such as radio stacks, which are vital to the organized atmosphere of Air Traffic Control.

![]() | CH Products Throttle Quadrant USB (300-133)
Buy new: $97.12 This throttle quadrant is perfect for all multi-engine airplanes. It has six axes of control, plus six switches. Although it is not completely necessary as long as you have the flight yoke, it is much better than that for dual and quad engine planes.

![]() | CH Products Fighterstick USB
Buy new: $102.66 The Fighterstick USB has everything the Logitech joystick has, and much, much more. It is a better, more realistic joystick with a hat switch, which is used to pan your view in the cockpit. If you can't afford the Saitek system or pedals, then this is your compromise.

![]() | Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick (Silver/Black)
Buy new: $29.99 / Used from: $12.95 This inexpensive joystick is a good controller for a beginner pilot. It has a twist handle, which is always good. If you can't afford the Saitek X52 system and rudder pedals, it is a fairly adequate, yet much less fun, replacement. It can be used by itself to control an airplane, but it doesn't provide any realistic control. This is for those with lower budgets.
