| Travel the rivers by canoe or kayak and you will find yourself surrounded by photo opportunities. Grab the gear to get the shots! You don't need waterfalls or ocean tides, just head out to your local water reservoir an hour before sunrise our sunset and wait for magic to happen. You will rarely be disappointed. Many folks will suggest waterproof cameras for kayak photography. Waterproof is a great feature, but for me high power zoom and optical image stabilization are the key features I look for. Rather than settle for the limitations of waterproof cameras, I try to buy affordable camera that I can replace every few years. check our Super Zoom category for examples of the kind of cameras we use for kayak photography.
