| A kayaker tries not to become a slave to fashion, but there is quite a bit of apparel available for improving your paddling trips. In my experience, quick drying shoes, boots, socks etc. offer a great way to improve your comfort on paddling trips and extend your paddling season. Sandals are fine shoes for sand, but not on the slippery rocks of the LMF River or the gravel bars of the Buffalo River. Crocs, water socks, trail racing shoes, wading boots, Teva sandals and bare feet are all popular choices among my paddling friends. Whether you paddle whitewater or flatwater, you will need some suitable river shoes. | ||
