One of Tjader's top 3...
the other two being "Ritmo Caliente" and "Soul Sauce". Great versions of Mama Guela and Mambo Show. Tito Puente plays timbales on Tanga. It smokes! As does La Murga Panamena, probably the best track on the CD. It opens with a tuba playing the normal salsa, clave piano part. Charlie Palmieri kicks in with electric piano, then horns, then the chorus of Ismael Quintana, Victor Aviles and Victor Velasquez. The arrangements are by Charlie Palmieri and Tito Puente. If that doesn't speak to you, nothing will!
Better than the cover suggests
Charlie Palmieri plays keyboards (organ and electric piano) on this one. Reason enough to buy it. Only two weak cuts, "El Watusi" and "Bang Bang". Everything else is pure mastery.
