Excellent intro to latin jazz4
I received this CD as a gift from my parents after they got back from a trip to Puerto Rico, and I have enjoyed it ever since. This is definitely a great album to have in your jazz collection. Eddie Palmieri plays piano with this ensemble of horns and latin percussion. Its not too extreme though, so those just looking for quality jazz without needing latin jazz will be happy with this as well.

In listening to Eddie Palmieri, there's of course the continuous element of change and surprise. There is equally a feeling of tension that surmounts the flavorings of the choro or the percussion. When finally released, you're entranced and committed to the pure artistry of Mr. Palmieri and become one with his originality.
