Born again? Please don't switch to religious music. Salsa is your specialty. Fans enjoy this very good cd.

Ceballo takes care of business as usual.
Ceballo's long awaited third album is finally here. While the album is not as good as his sophmore release it is still quite good. The album is filled with great and good songs, but my personal favorites are "Por Eso Te Quiero," "El Milagro De Tu Amor," and "Pero No Puedo," which Kevin Ceballo co-wrote. I believe tbis album will satisfy any true salsa fan who is tired of hearing it meshed with urban rhythms. Ceballo's voice as always is magnificent, more than I can say for his sister on the song "Vivo Por Ella." It's not that she has a bad voice, but she is nothing special and Ceballo clearly proves that on this song by out-singing her. On top of that she doesn't really fit into the song. The song is called "Vivo Por Ella." which means I live for her. No why would another woman be saying she lives for another woman? Is Ceballo in love with his sister's lesbian lover? This sounds like an episode of Jerry Springer. That being said, this is the worst song on the album, everything else is either good or great. The hidden track after the ballad version of "Por Eso Te Quiero" with Kevin's daughter singing is a cute touch, but the album could have easily done without it. Believe me we get it, you love your daughter, you only told us a million times on your last album. After 5 years without recording, a new record label, new arrangers, new musicians and a new baby boy Ceballo could not have chosen a more appropriate tittle than "Renacer" for this album.

Kevin proves he is all about high quality lyrics and music. I really enjoyed listening to the entire cd. There is nothing commercial about this album. He took his time making the album and it shows big time!
