I have the original CD, the remaster, the Mobile Fidelity gold disc, and now this. Up to this point, the Mobile Fidelity version was the best sounding. No more. This Deluxe Edition tops it by a wide margin.

The Keepnews Collection is the newly remastered recordings of the great Riverside label. At this point, there's no indication of how many titles are going to get a sonic make-over, but the ones released so far are of the highest sonic quality. Riverside made the finest recordings of the late 50s, and these remasters are of impeccable audiophile quality. The result is amazing.

This has a lot of charm and textures, and fortunately it was well recorded and mastered, enabling us to enjoy this gem to the fullest. Dr. John is the real deal.

This is the best sounding classical disc I've ever heard. It blows away everything else in my classical collection. It'll draw you into this great performance of Resurrection.

Doug Sax mastered this Analogue Productions hybrid SACD using vacuum tube equipment before converting it to DSD. The recording is from 1961, so it was recorded using tube equipment, and the mastering compliments it well. The instruments sound very real and the soundstage is deep. Analogue Productions also released "Live from the Village Vangaurd" and "Moonbeams", and they are incredible as well.

Neil's first release in this live series was recorded OK, but it was a bit strident to these ears, and somewhat compressed. This Massey Hall acoustic performance was recorded by David Briggs, and he didn't do a hap-hazard job. It sounds phenomenal! This disc has presence, depth, and air - this is audiophile grade, and Neil's performance is incredible (seriously). This is Neil at his peak.

The soundstage actually has depth, and the instruments sound natural and have their own space. The crowded mix of previous CD's and vinyl pressings is a thing of the past. Highly recommended!

This blows all other versions out of the water. I haven't heard the hybrid SACD of this, but I don't see how it could top this.

If you like British blues from the sixties, this six disc set won't disappoint, and it's priced right. A very good recording and remaster.

They went back to the multi-tracks for this one. It sounds like you're at the Fox.

This 1957 stereo recording was done very well, and this hybrid is awesome. This is also my favorite Monk album.

While this may not be an audiophile recording, this 2002 remaster is such an improvement over the original that I had to include it here. The Stones remasters sound pretty good, for the most part, but this one especially benefits due to the master tapes resurfacing after being lost for over 30 years.

A jaw-dropping experience. This hybrid caught me totally off-guard. This is what the master tapes must sound like.

Except for the first track, this compilation sounds great. The first track came from a tv special, so that can be expected. The studio stuff was recorded up to the Chairman's usual high standards.

This CD borders on redbook greatness. They mastered it a little too loud, but the soundstage is VERY wide and it's obvious they put a lot of effort into the sonics of this disc. A friend tells me the DVD-A of this is excellent.

DSD remixed and remastered, this is a wonderful recording and live performance.
