Amazon.com Review
This multifunctional device displays the temperature and relative humidity for either indoor or outdoor locations. Perfect for indoor use in greenhouses, wine cellars, cigar humidors, or just monitoring household conditions, this thermo-hygrometer has an indoor temperature-measuring range of 23 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C). For gardeners or those living in areas of extreme temperatures, outdoor readings are taken from the included weather-resistant probe that hangs out a closed window via a 12-foot wire. The probe has an outdoor measuring range between -58 to 158 degrees F (-50 to 70 degrees C). This instrument also measures humidity between 2 percent and 98 percent and has icons that indicate whether conditions are wet, dry, or comfortable. A memory recall function records the highs and lows for both temperature and humidity and displays them at the push of a button. The jumbo display makes reading easy to see from a great distance. Measuring 4 by 4-1/2 inches, this humidity monitor and digital thermometer mounts to a wall or stands on a table and runs on one AAA battery (included). --Cristina Vaamonde

Accurate Enough (How to Calibrate an Hygrometer)4
My unit reads 4% low, which is about par for an inexpensive hygrometer. The digits are readable across the room, however, and I can subtract 4 in my head.

You can check the accuracy of your hygrometer as follows:

Take a big bottle cap full of salt (a teaspoon or two) and add a few drops of water to it. You want a stiff paste, not liquid salt. Put your hygrometer and salt-laden bottle cap into a tupperware container and seal it up. (Make sure that you can read the hygrometer through the walls of the container without opening the lid.) Leave everything alone and sealed for 24 hours (while the air inside the container settles). A properly calibrated hygromter will read exactly 75%.

Great product5
Aren't we lucky to live in the age of inexpensive, great little digital tools?

I bought this Thermo-Hygrometer to keep track of the temp/humidity in my ceramics studio. Its great to be able to see at a glance from across the room, what's happening with my indoor environment.(humidity/temp has a big influence on clay working and drying) I had to laugh the first time it gave me a Mac-like frowny face, when the humidity fell below 30%.

Like most digital tools, I don't really use all of its capabilities; like outdoor temp, hi/low, etc. But I'm so happy with it, that I'm buying another to monitor my high humidity forced drying cabinet.

When you consider shipping & tax, Amazon.com's price is near the best on the web.

Good product4
I purchased this one as a last resort to the 4 I previously purchased from Radio Shack.

I breed snakes, and I need to know exactly what the temperature and humidity is inside the incubator. Unlike the Radio Shack versions (which were cheaper), this gives an accurate measurement of both temp and humidity levels.

The display is large enough to read from a distance, so I don't have to get out my glasses to read the numbers. It's a good quality product for the money.
