I recommend Ultimate if you don't mind the price -- it has everything Vista has to offer. Make sure you qualify for the upgrade price versus full price.

Home Premium is a good choice for consumers who don't want Ultimate. It has all the extra media options like Media Center and Photo Gallery.

Business has backup options lacking in the Home editions but does NOT have some of the media options in Home.

Home Basic may be all you need, but I think you'll miss some of the cool features of Vista.
