Edna Ellison and Linda Gilden love opportunities to encourage women. A popular writer and speaker, Edna has written Bible studies such as Deeper Still: A Woman’s Study to a Closer Walk with God, Woman to Woman and Friend to Friend: Enriching Friendships Through a Shared Study of Philippians. Also an experienced writer and speaker, Linda is a former kindergarten and music teacher and has written books such as Love Notes in Lunchboxes, and has contributed to encouraging books such as Every Child IS a Winner, The Art of Helping, and Humor for a Teacher’s Heart. What a great book for moms everywhere! Not only does it have inspiring stories and encouragement from God's Word, but every entry also has a Pick-Me-Up: a message of application and instruction related to the story. Wise words delivered through short, quick reads--perfect for the busy mom!

One story titled "Caught in the Middle" will help any mother with more then one child better handle the next inevitable argument. The story entitled "Prayer Chair" will remind you that daily prayer time with the Lord is important.

The authors have followed each story with a section entitled "Message for Mommy." This section starts with a verse that is in keeping with the story. They follow with a brief explanation of the verse and how it can be helpful for any mother. They go even further in encouraging mothers by giving a tip on helping children with the same principle.

This is a great book for any busy Mom who needs a quick "pick-me-up" from the Lord!
