Customer Reviews
Looks are Decieving
Dear Customer,
I recieved money for Christmas and I wanted to upgrade on a new MP3 Player and looked on Amazon and saw this MP4 player. It may look very sleek and smart and it kinda does but--there are alot of things that are different. First of all, it is alot smaller than the picture makes it look, it's tiny, too tiny for me. Also it's cheaply made. I already have a crack in it and I didn't even drop it or anything. Also it has no brand names. RULE OF ONLINE SHOPPING: Never, never get s product with an unkown or off brand. They are not to be trusted. This is also very hard to opoerate unless you are not very tech savvy. I am sort of in the know so it wasn't too hard but who wants to take forever to learn to use and MP3 Player (not me!) and I still haven't found out how to put videos on. The headphone jack is a small one so you have to buy more expensive, hard to find earphones. Plus, the enclosed software is not user freindly at all. It's hard to understand. Also to save power it turns off like every five seconds when music is not playing and you have to keep turning it back on and you can't take it off as far as I know. Also it took me like 2 days to figure out how to charge it. I had to use my cell charger and it worked (that's pathetic) Also like I said, it's an off or unkown brand so you won't be able to fin a case for it or another charger or anything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Sincerely,
A Disgruntled Customer.
P.S.
Now, I have to return it and only get half price back for opening it. Which is only like $25. DON'T BE FOOLED!
Good, but you do need to read the manual RTFM!
I read a few other reviews on this item and I found them accurate for the most part.
This is a nice little unit, very small and lightweight.
The interface is not intuitive. It is hard to work with and requires reading the manual for the most part. The software is translated from another language and the translation didn't come across well.
This unit is feature-packed. (In reading the manual I found out it even has Karaoke)
The blackout mode after 9 seconds is annoying. To turn it off, Menu->Setup->LCD Set->Black, set it to 0. (This is an example of bad translation, I probably would've chosen "Blackout" or "Blank Mode" or "Timeout" or "Power Save")
Another poster commented on needing the smaller earphones for this. I bought mine from Pro_eb and it included a converter so standard earphones can be used.
Contents in the box from seller Pro_eb:
1 MP3 player
1 Mini-USB to USB cable
1 Power to USB converter (for wall charging)
1 Manual (RTFM)
1 Pink shiny carrying bag (quickly hidden to avoid ridicule from my teenage son)
1 Stereo earphone headset with built-in volume control
1 Stereo jack converter (from little to standard headphone size)
Seriously, if you do not believe in reading the manual, do not buy this.
doesn't work!
it had to be plugged in to be operated. not cool at all still waiting for a reply to my numerous emails!
