Fun Factory is the rimmed dinnerware line from Waechtersbach, maker of some of the most exciting colors in tableware today. While rimmed plates may be more traditional than their Waechtersbach Freestyle coupe-style cousins, they come in the same rainbow of about a dozen intensely saturated hues. Each is solidly glazed, though patterned Freestyle pieces can be mixed in for eye-catching fun. Square and oval pieces are available, too, to keep life from being too serious.

This set contains four Fun Factory rimmed salad plates, all the same color, and each measuring 8-1/4 inches in diameter. The versatile size is ideal for holding a muffin or scone at breakfast, sandwich at lunch, and slice of cake after dinner. Two or more sets of these plates, in complementary colors, brighten up a day considerably. Known for superlative glazes, especially its vivid cherry red, Germany-based Waechtersbach has been producing ceramicware since 1832. I love these plates!
I love these plates! I got them at Kohl's years ago. My old roomate broke one of my salad plates and I finally decided to replace it. You can't get a better price than Amazon for these plates. The salad ones are the best size for my dishwasher. Plus, it helps with portion control. I hope they continue to make these plates for my lifetime.
