Pretty crappy
I purchased these clippers so I would have a light duty clipping system for my horse's face. I'm very unimpressed. The blades don't cut consistently and they caught constantly, especially when clipping the bridle path. I would not recommend.

Very loud!
My clippers were the Wahl Basic Pet Clippers, with the same model #, but in yellow. I don't know if the red model would be better for some reason . . . but the yellow model is terrible! Is says right on the front of the package that the clippers are quiet and perfect for sensitive animals. Well, my dog is not sensitive, in fact nothing bothers her. But these clippers were so annoyingly loud that they upset her right away. Not only that, they didn't even seem to cut well. Due to the awful noise it was almost impossible to get close enough to the dog to even use the clippers. I just returned the clippers this morning!

2nd attempt to review
Sometimes this site really aggravates me. Ok I wrote a long glowing review of these clippers and it disappeared as I was trying to check something. Anyway here is another shorter version since I typed so much complaining!!
Buy it!!! If you need a clippers to do some occassional clipping this is the one. I bought it through Amazon with Free Super Saver Shipping for under $22. Some found it not worth having, but it is quiet, it is light and easy to use. It cut through my old dog's long hair and mats with no problem and just a little careful effort took care of the worst mats.
I recommend it highly for the price. I think you'll be happy with it, I am.
