Mario's wicked nemesis just doesn't know when to give up, as evidenced by this fourth chapter in the ongoing WARIO LAND saga. This time around, Wario finds himself in trouble when his greed lands him in the middle of a cursed pyramid. In search of gold and jewels, Wario entered the structure without paying heed to repeated warnings of the pyramid's curse, and now he'll be lucky to escape with his life. Make your way through 20 massive levels as the wicked Wario, collecting as many valuables as you can. You can use your findings to purchase bonus items at the end of each stage, using the acquisitions to further your progress in the game. There are plenty of punches, jumps, kicks, and tricks to master throughout the action, and there are even a handful of mini-games to keep you amused when you're not adventuring. Lots of bad guys and boss characters will try to make your escape more difficult, and there are plenty of unique challenges to stretch your reflexes and imagination.

Amazon.com Product Description
Warioland 4 stars Wario, the same money-mad rascal seen in many other classic handheld games. This time he's heard tales of a golden pyramid--which is enough to send the big blowhard scurrying off to the nearest jungle. He finds the place, but before he can collect his treasure he'll have to undergo a brain- and body-bending series of challenges. Four guardians stand jealously over the four sections of the pyramid. Wario will either have to defeat each guardian or activate a switch and escape before time runs out. No longer invincible, Wario will have to replenish his health meter by gathering pieces of heart. While exploring the pyramid, Wario gets flat and heavy, and undergoes other transformations. Minigames provide more diversions on the way to the final showdown with the pyramid boss.

A whole new M(W)arior World, more like a puzzle challenge
This game is amazing, especially to me, because I did not like Wario Land and the Mario games have been done to death. Wario, who is a bigger bullying version of Mario offers a whole new game to play. Rather than Mario who jumps on enemies, leaps to punch blocks above him and collects mushrooms and fire flowers to power-up; Wario uses the direct method, ramming straight through enemies, blocks and collects hearts for energy. You can even pick up enemies to throw them. So what makes this game different than a Mario game? Because a Mario game was simple, where you go right and find the end of a level. With Wario's land, each level is a miniature maze, where you enter a level through a portal where you must then find four pieces of a stone, which are scattered in the level, then you must find the key. They key is unique, because they key is a bird who's beak is the key and it actually flies behind you and bigger enemies can steal the key and hold it hostage. You can leave the level, but the key is needed to get to the next level. To top it all off, you can't just finish a level, you must find and activate a bomb! The bomb then sets a timer at the top of the screen for you to exit the level by. Each level is very detailed and the graphics are completely different, such as a Desert, a Haunted House, a Lake, a Raining Swamp, Paradise, and a Sunflower Field to name a few. To make sure you don't get bored, there are coins, jewels and gold to collect, in which with all of this cash, you can pay to play mini games, like Roulette, Homerun Derby and Wario Hop. The graphics are great and Wario is full of tricks so there is great gameplay.
Wario Land 4
The widely popular Wario Land series makes its 4th installment on the GameBoy Advance. This time around, our greedy 2-D friend is inside of a golden pyramid that supposedly holds a wealth of untold treasure. The gameplay is similar to past Wario games, & this time around Wario is no longer invicible, meaning you'll half to be a bit more careful while looking for gold. & the bright, colorful graphics show up much nicer on the GBA's screen then the past Wario Land 3 for GBC did. & last but not least, you can take a break from stealing & play mini games to earn extra coins. Bottom line: This one should be one to look forward to.
Another Wonderful Wario!
I am an adult who has played and won all 4 Wario games. This one is a little different. You must go through all the levels in a pyramid and collect crystals, coins, a cd (which you can listen to in the sound room), 4 jewel pieces which are in treasure chests, and the hidden treasure. At the beginning of the level you will enter a vortex. After you find the above items, you must find Keyzer (a key shaped bird) and the special switch. When you jump on the switch the timer starts and you have a limited amount of time to return to the beginning of the level and exit through the vortex. If you have collected Keyzer, you can unlock the door to the next level. After you have collected all four pieces of the jewel in all four levels in a passage, you must fight a boss. This is where the coins and crystals come in handy. After each level, for 5,000 coins, you can play a mini game and collect medals. The mini-games are baseball, hopping over things, and roulette with Wario's face. All are fun. With the medals you can buy an item in the item shop on the way to meet the boss. The items will do damage to the boss which can make your job easier. Wario has all of his usual moves, ie jump, grab, swim, roll, dash, smash, stomp, and with the help of friends he can get fat, turn into fire or ice, and fly. However, he not invincible. You must also gather hearts for health. When you lose all health you go to the beginning of the level and lose all items. I really enjoyed this game. The only complaint might be that it was too short. It could have had more levels. Although I must admit, I have not yet found all of the items, so...keep playing!
