Customer Reviews
an acquired taste
Some of my friends who I have offered these to say they taste like SOAP.
And even I have to admit they have a very unusual taste, but that is what I love about them!
AND they leave your breath smelling wonderful for a really long time afterwards.
I first purchased these at World Market, but here I got them at less than half of what they sell them for each there.
Live on the edge, try Violet candy today!
I wish they also made them in Lavendar flavor too.
An acquired taste
To know C Howards Violets is to love them. that is how it is - people either love them or hate them. they are especially good for smokers, even though i am not one - really gets rid of the odor. and my few latin friends say they remind them of the violet scented water their mothers used to use when they were little. These are definitely an acquired taste and not for the uneducated.
Eating perfume.
Came across this entry - on HeyLoki's recommendation (thank you), I've tried them and shared them. Each package is a row of little hard tablets, like mints (they're called mints) but flavored not with mint. The ingredients do not list violet. They are pleasant to taste, but not the norm of candy, not today's candy. One coworker likes how they smell, but doesn't like EATING the smell, having the scent right there on the palate. I like them, but I don't like how the room smells if I don't seal up the uneaten ones. This is a mixed review, sorry. 4 of 5 stars - good candy, just odd.
