The Timex T78821 Youth digital watch is reliable, durable, and readable in the dark, thanks to the integrated Indiglo night-light, but it's also flat-out fun to wear. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of $10 for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked. Great Watch!!
Timex Kids Digital Watch T78821:
I am delighted with this watch and recommend it to all parents if you are going somewhere there is water. We gave 3 of these watches to my grand children and told them to report back to us on the hour and they used their watches to do so. Because of the digital face they did not have to know how to tell time they just needed to know how to read. We we're at Orange Lake resort in Orlando, FL a very secure place and the children did as we instructed. The watches were virtually in the water all day with no problems. I can not say even good things about this watch.

looked good, but wearing it was a different story...
I bought this watch for my 10 year old daughter. She is particular about comfort (so am I) and this watch wasn't as comfortable as it sounded. The watchband was extremely "pokey" on the inside. It was like the plastic stiching on the edges was poking inward toward the skin. We returned it and got a plastic band by Timex that was much more comfortable.

My daughter likes it
I bought this for my daughter's 8th birthday. She likes it. She wears it all the time and doesn't complain that it is uncomfortable. It was easy to set. I set the alarm for an hour before her bedtime so that she knows to get ready, and it works. She gets ready when the alarm goes off with little fuss.

She isn't very rough on the watch, so I don't know how it would hold up under "boyish conditions", but it still looks relatively new after 3 months. She did test the water resistance; it held up as expected, no problems.
