OF COURSE you should buy these bags!
Eliminate the GUILT--the paper or plastic guilt! At Whole Foods they automatically give you paper and you feel like an idiotic trendy consumer loser for spending huge sums of money on organic food while you pillage the tree supply for your paper bag. At Giant they only give you plastic and you feel like a creepy, irresponsible freak for using blue plastic bags that might end up choking some poor woodlands animal who accidentally eats it when he finds it snagged up in the bushes that line the stream near your house. AVOID THAT GUILT, don't be that person. Just buy the grocery totes, stick them in your trunk and use them. YES, YOU WILL FORGET THEM WHILE SHOPPING and you will suddenly remember them when you're in the check out. But, I promise you, the checker will forgive you for holding up the line while you RUN to your car to retrieve them. And, you'll get a bit of aerobic exercise, too.

Looks aren't everything
I bought these bags because they were more attractive than those sold by my grocery store and because they didn't have advertising logos. However, two of the bags split at the seems after only a few uses. Also, the insulated bags made by the same manufacturer are flat - they hold very little and do not have square bottoms - not so good for groceries.

These bags are awesome & make a great gift
I bought 2 sets of these bags for Mother's Day. 1 set for myself & 1 set I gave to my mom on Mother's Day. I was a bit worried that the bags wouldn't arrive on time for the holiday. They arrived the Friday before Mother's Day 2008. I was pleasantly surprised with the 2 added gifts, the Hot/Cold velcro closure bag & the pen. On Mother's Day, my mom & I chose our favorite colors from the 5 available. We use them all the time. I even use them to tote things back & forth from her house to mine or vice versa. My son uses 1 as an overnight bag when he stays with his grandma. Sometimes, I end up with all 10 bags, sometimes she does. Or we have just 1 or 2 to use & either 1 of us has the rest. It doesn't matter since we've been shopping together to save gas. I've had several people ask me where I got the bags & happily tell them where I found them. The bags hold more than I'd ever thought possible. My main problem with these bags is the plastic bottom. I've cracked 2 so far & have had to ductape them back together to continue using them. You will need 2 sets, though, if you get a half full or full grocery cart at the store. The additional purchase of a second set is well worth the money spent.
