Most folks think of Jesus as the man who started Christianity. But it turns out he wasn't just a man, and he wasn’t interested in religion. He had dirty feet, partied, cooked breakfast, and got himself killed. Who was this guy? Why did people hate him so much? And why should I care?
Many of us have had bad experiences at a church or with offensive Christians. But don't let that stop you from finding out more about the most compelling, audacious, wild-eyed, radical, revolutionary person that ever lived--Jesus. This discussion guide offers ten sessions of candid inquiries into the person of Jesus, who he was, what he was like and whether or not it matters. With excerpts from Jesus with Dirty Feet as the jumping-off point, each session explores the big differences between institutional Christianity as you know it and the reality of following Jesus.
This guide serves both as an independent resource for groups investigating God as well as a companion study guide for the book Jesus with Dirty Feet.

About the Author
Don Everts is the author of Jesus with Dirty Feet and The Smell of Sin. In his work for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship he hangs out with university students in Colorado and gets weirded out by Jesus on a regular basis. Douglas Scott is a writer and filmmaker and serves as producer for Axis, the twentysomething ministry of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. When not contemplating how postmodern culture affects the church, he dreams of becoming a ninja.
Customer Reviews
Beautiful little book.
I bought this on recommendation from an author I really like. At first, I was kind of disappointed that it was a small book and didn't think it had much to offer, but once I started reading it, I fell in love. I'd recommend this to anyone trying to figure out what they believe about Jesus.
Amazing
Great book for small group discussions such as bible studies.
The best thing about this book is that anyone from the newest christian to biblical scholars can be enlightened through this book.
love it!
