Buy new: $39.95 I use one of these, from a thrift store, for experimenting with roasts. Does a small batch right in the open. Other folks use electric popcorn poppers. Whatever works for you.

Buy new: $39.99 For grinding the coffee I prefer a burr grinder. The blade grinders are good for spices, but make a lot of small pieces (dust) while leaving larger chunks. There are better grinders out there, but this one has been serving me well for a number of years.
