Average customer review:Product Description
The select spruce top with mahogany back and sides on the Epiphone AJ-1 Acoustic Guitar generates a round, mellow, and perfectly pleasing tone. The mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard is hand-friendly and easy to fret. Body binding, pearl fretboard inlays, chrome hardware, and a natural gloss finish unique in this price range add up to gorgeous looks. A fantastic value on a sweet guitar.

Customer Reviews
excellent guitar
this is my third epiphone, perhaps one of the top guitar makers in the world. i bought a esteban acoustic for the same price,it looks and sounds nice but the fret board was painted black over a pressed wood material, and the black paint comes off. i will always stick with the name brand guitars, also the ones made here in the usa. although companies like epiphone are made overseas, they are still very good. epiphone guitars are top shelf. gibson is the parent company, and you cannot go wrong. i bought the esteban guitar out of curiosity, now i know stick with the legendary companies.
perfect for a college student.
So, during the transition of moving into my dorm after the summer ended, I was sad to discover that my old guitar did not travel so well. So, I was devastated and needed a new guitar and quick! So I did some quick research, and headed on over here to Amazon. My guitar arrived quickly (before the estimated arrival date), and was in excellent condition! I play it almost every day. My only thing, make sure you buy some new strings if you plan on using this guitar for concerts. After a while, they buzz a bit, but that is to be expected. However, the original strings are not obnoxious. I'm actually still using the original strings, but that is ok for me, because I just play to relax. I sit in my dorm and play/sing some folk music to unwind after my day. So for me, everything was perfect. Everything from the price to the quality. Great product!
Nice Guitar
For an $80 guitar the wood, fit and finish is quite nice. Plays well.
The tuners are a little sloppy but they work.
The intonation isn't adjustable but is surprisingly 99% accurate.
