Hypnosis and Self-Hypnosis for Weight Loss: Rewiring Your Brain
Most weight-loss strategies involve dieting, in which your will is directed toward staying away from certain foods for a certain amount of time, but not about eliminating unhealthy urges altogether.
Using this CD, your will is directed toward addressing your most internal thoughts, urges, and finally, that area of your brain that generates the unhealthy cravings. With this approach you will be replacing the cravings with healthier thoughts and images and as a result will change your brain.

Lose Weight By Changing Your Thinking
In Dr. Darcy Buehler's book, "Think Yourself Thin," she tells us that in order to lose weight, you first have to change your thinking. Successful dieting is not just about finding the perfect diet plan, doing a tremendous amount of exercise, or eating only the foods you don't like ... it is about self talk and believing you can succeed. Which makes sense to me. It just may be that you are the one blocking the way to your weight loss success by negative things you say to yourself. For instance, if you are thinking, "I'll probably fail at this diet just like all the others," then you have already begun to fail and you are maintaining your identity as an overeater and a failure at dieting.
The author points out that while you won't lose weight just by thinking yourself thin, it is the first step because, with thinking yourself thin, you will start taking the necessary steps to get thin. You will still need to watch your eating habits and exercise often. Which you shouldn't do only to lose weight, but also for the health aspects of it. Dr. Buehler also provides a list of lifestyle changes which need to be made for weight loss success plus lots of other info. For those of you who like self-hypnosis, this book also includes self-hypnosis scripts at the end of chapters and a self-hypnosis CD done in a pleasant and professional voice.
This is not an induction cd
I bought this book because I believed it had a hypnosis induction cd with it. However when I listened to it, a very nasally woman with a harsh voice stated the chapter of her book and then went on to read induction suggestions as if she was reading off of a menu. I couldn't hypnotize myself to this if I was half deaf and semi-comatose. This was a complete waste of money.
I needed this!
How refreshing to learn a special diet that doesn't focus on food, but more on eating and being healthy. I am using this with the "Self Hypnosisis Diet" Diffrent style of hypnotism on each CD, and different presentation. This has made a difference in my attitude enough that in the 3 weeks I have used this, my appetite is heathier. Of course. a willing attitude of belief of the system makes a difference!
