Can't grasp anything with the silicone slippery things1
I hate these things. I bought two. Works great for something that weighs less than a fly but for steaks, chicken, chops, anything that has weight, you can't grip it. The silicone is slippery and the food slips out and splats back into the pan and splatters juices everywhere.

I threw them away and bought two at Bed, Bath, and Beyond without the silicone, now I'm a happy camper.

Great kitchen tool5
My husband bought me a great set of pots and pans as a gift, but they're all non-stick and scratchable, so I got several silicone tools to use with them. These tongs are great, the mechanism works well, and I don't have to worry about scratching my pans.

Expensive for Tongs3
If I had paid about half of what I did pay for this item it would probably rate a four or five star rating, but...

It is really no better, or worse, than ones that I could have bought at Target or WalMart for around $6 to $7. All of them are manufactured in China and are half, or less, the quality of a pair of Ecko tongs that I purchased eight years ago for a third of the price that I paid for these.
