Amazon.com Product Description
The Werner QuickClick stabilizer uses a spring-loaded locking latch for easy installation and removal. By putting its two legs spread 46 inches apart on the roof, the stabilizer will provide 10 inches of clearance from the work surface, giving you access to the roof's edge. The rubber end caps protect the work surface, while the hook holds paint cans. The stabilizer is compatible with single and extension ladders with 1-1/4-inch round rungs, 1-1/2-inch flat rungs, or 1-3/4-inch flat rungs.
From the Manufacturer
With fragile rain gutters in the way, you can't lean that heavy ladder against the fascia for support on your way up to the roof. But you can work around the problem with Werner's Quickclick standoff stabilizer. The stabilizer works by planting its two stable legs on the roof itself, keeping the ladder rails away from the eave and providing access to the roof's edge. And, the Quicklick has a wide, 46-inch stance between its legs (wider than the ladder) for even more stability than you'd get just leaning the ladder against the side of the house. The long legs also keep the ladder ten inches away from the work surface-the perfect distance for repairing gutters, painting fascia, or installing holiday decor. That's great piece of mind when you're down-climbing with a toolbox from 26 feet up. Best of all, Quickclick, as the name implies, requires no tools to install. A spring-loaded locking latch makes it easier and quicker to install/remove than any other stabilizer on the market. More great features: mar-resistant rubber end caps protect the work surface. Your purchase includes a paint can hook and instructions. The Quickclick is designed for use on all single and extension ladders with 1-1/4-inch round rungs, 1-1/2-inch flat rungs and 1/3/4-inch flat rungs. Note: Not for use on Werner Multi-Master articulated ladders.

Not compatible with MT series
I just bought the MT-22 and was intrigued by the versatility of the Quickclick but it took me a while to confirm that it would not work on the MT series. The website states that people who bought the MT-22 also bought the AC78 which may cause some confusion. I hope this will save someone some grief some day.
Five stars so it would not skew the current rating.
Buying my second one.
I already had one of these and since I'm now getting a whole ladder jack setup along with a second ladder, I definitely wanted one of these to go along with it. I'm sure they wouldn't recommend what I'm about to say for safety reasons, but I would point out that this item can make an aluminum extension ladder a lot more stable on slightly uneven ground. Because of the broad spread, the ladder will twist slightly to make up the difference and it's really solid!
This thing goes on or off in 5 seconds. No way would I ever get one of those bolt on kind. The cam action that holds it to the ladder looked a little iffy when I first saw it, but if you examine it you'll see that it's very well designed and I don't think you'll ever have a problem with it. I haven't.
Quickclick
I have three extension ladders, and I don't put any of them up without the stabilizer on them. By being able to take it off, it make it easier to move the ladders. I can also use it on any of my ladders. It makes the ladder very stable. The stabilizer fits very well on the ladder.
