Rodriguez' 10-Minute Film School and Anatomy of a Shootout are great instructional tools for those with a limited budget (he made El Mariachi for $7000)

Another good flick made on a tight budget. Like Clerks, it's a decent model for aspiring writer/directors.

Another one that illustrates the importance of test-screening. Also an interesting look at the development of comic books-to-scripts. Add'l value: Snipes' description of the actor/producer role.

Overrated, but we all know about this low-budget production making an astronomical profit.

Considered by the AFI as *the greatest* American movie. Two critical commentary tracks make this a solid purchase.

Not a spectacular movie, but director/editor Vincent Pereira *knows* filmmaking. Listen to what he has to say.
