Whitney dayhike? You don't need this map1
You planning a Whitney dayhike? You don't need this map. A quick internet search will show you two better, free maps with more information than this one.

Only two trails are shown in their entirety: the Mount Whitney Trail and the trail from Whitney Portal to Meysan Lake.

The map says it shows the Cottonwood Lakes, and that's true, it does show the Cottonwood Lakes, but it does not show the trail or trailhead to Cottonwood Lakes from the Horseshoe Meadow area. So if you were planning an acclimatization hike to the Lakes or New Army Pass, you will want another map.

The key to the map is not printed in a little box in the corner, instead is it written very awkwardly along the perimeter of the map. The mileages to the camps and lakes are not shown on the map, but are printed in the margin instead.

I didn't even bother carrying the map on my dayhike. Not worth the weight.
