If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, this book puts readers on the direct route. Margie Lapanja interviewed thousands of men to compile this collection of favorite foods, fascinating trivia, and fun aphrodisiacs. Here is quarterback John Elway's Hamburger Soup, star chef Mario Batali's Bucatini all'Amatriciana, basketball legend Michael Jordan's 23 Peekytoe Crab Sandwich, and guitarist Bob Weir's Peanut Satay Sauce. Dishes are organized by course, in chapters including "Warming Up His Appetite," "Playing with Fire: Seeking Thrills with the G-r-r-rill," and "How Sweet It Is: Treat Him to His Just Desserts."

From Booklist
When the man of the house is a fussy eater or has bizarre visions of what a "real man" ought to ingest, Margie Lapanja has an answer. In her Food Men Love , she assembles recipes from many sources that should appeal to the most macho man. Beyond the expected meat and potatoes, Lapanja cites a Luxury Tuna Casserole full of greens and Provencal herbs and purported to be a favorite of Harry Truman. Other dishes get the approval of sports stars on the order of Michael Jordan. Inclusion of ceviche and an elaborate mushroom risotto shows how far some men's tastes have developed. Pastas make an appearance, but Lapanja warns: "No limp noodles." Mark Knoblauch

Food Men Love, Men Love the book
As far as cook books go Margie Lapanja has out done herself. I have enjoyed reading all of Margie's books about food as much as cooking some of the recipes. Food Men Love is no exception. Most people will have no problem with these simple and tasty recipes. I didn't...
Enjoyed it trememdously...
Food Men Love
My first night with this book I stayed up till 1 am reading it cover to cover laughing and inspired to cook. Since then I have used the potions within to successfully collect love and adoration. My favorite is the Lemon Heaven Meringue Pie, which I have made 5 times in two months . . .rave reviews each time. I was also blessed to be the receipient of Peter's Phyllo-Wrapped Gulf Prawns a La Lodge Club trully a night to remember. Yes!
Even Men can love "Food Men Love"
As a man who loves food, I find Margie Lapanja's "Food Men Love" to be a feast for the soul as well as the palate. Not only are the recipes utterly fantastic and completely attainable to non-gastronomiques such as myself, but the anecdotes, quotes and overall presentation of the volume are absolutely refreshing to me. Being a fan and owner of Margie's first book, "Goddess in the Kitchen", I find the flavor and style of "Food Men Love" to be a marvelous compliment to the original. If you are kitchen-wise or not, you're bound to find something to appeal to your literal or figurative appetite in this delightful piece of literary art.
