Beautiful and original
A great and creative gift, it really makes a statement. And it works as a nutcracker!
Super cute, but not functional!
This little guy is very cute, but the design of it is quite lacking. He has "plate" on his lower jaw that holds the nut, but none on the top of his mouth so nuts get stuck in his head when you try to crack them. Smaller nuts, like almonds and hazelnuts are almost impossible to crack in this thing and larger nuts like brazil nuts get wedged in the top of his mouth and have to be pried out. Great if you're buying for a cute conversation piece, but don't plan on using it for practical purposes.
NUTCRACKER ????
I WAS REALLY IN NEED FOR A GOOD NUTCRACKER TO HELP BUST THOSE LARGER NUTS.....I SAW THIS ONE ON LINE AND THOUGHT IT WAS JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. WELL TO MY SURPRISE, THIS WAS A GREAT LOOKING SQUIRREL BUT FAILED THE TEST OF CRACKING THOSE NUTS. WHEN THE NUTS WERE INSERTED, THE TAIL[HANDLE] WAS TO HIGH TO GET THE LEVERAGE NEEDED FOR THE PROPER PRESSURE TO CRACK THOSE BIG BOYS.....YOU REALLY NEEDED THREE HANDS TO DO THE JOB. WELL WE KEPT THE SQUIRREL ANYWAY CAUSE IT DOES MAKE A NICE TABLE ITEM FOR THE CHRISTMAS SETTING...I WOULD SAY IF YOU LIKE THE LITTLE FELLOW GO AHEAD AND BUY IT....... HAPPY HOLLIDAYS.....
