In a story both enjoyable and educational, Christopher Robin is having a potluck party and informs his friends that they must each count out 10 items in order to attend. While everyone is busy counting, Pooh and Roo are in a panic--they don't know how to count and time is running out. Not to worry, Owl tells Roo as he gives him a private tutorial, teaching him through song that "Every number has its own name, and each number has to be in the right order." Rabbit joins in with a counting memory game and Tigger lends his talents with the catchy song "Bouncerific." Lots of instruction is packed into this gently paced program, which includes the voice talents of Jim Cummings (as Pooh and Tigger) and is delightfully reminiscent of the earliest Pooh stories. Preschoolers will learn the difference between numbers and letters, be able to identify numbers in everyday life, and learn to count to 10 while recognizing numbers on the screen. BEST for learning COUNTING
I've searched high and low for counting videos, and this by far is the best one. Rules of counting, sequencing, different names of numbers are all tackled. With the repetition, my son quickly picked up what counting is all about. Though he hasn't started talking yet, i'd often catch him playing counting game. He'd line up his toy cars and start pointing at them with counting aloud in his own words. Everytime he sees roo hopping on the things as he counts, he'd hop, too, with lots of giggles. WE love the COUNTING song as well. It's very catchy and would linger in our tongues even days after the movie. This is his favorite song right now that can even calm him down when he's so fuzzy in the car. Get this you'll never be disappointed. I guarantee it.
My son loves it!
This DVD keeps my 2 year old son's attention from beginning to end. He ask me to watch it every single day. "Mommy, I want Pooh." The only dissapointing matter is that it only goes up to ten. It would have been better if it counted up to twenty.
EXCELLENT DVD!
My 25 month old surprised me the other day, we were playing with his match box cars and he just started counting them 1-10. WOW, I was so amazed I grabed him, gave him a bug hug and said great job. He's been counting everything since then! This is an awsome DVD, interesting, fun AND educational.
