Product Description

You are purchasing 2 white Hydrangea vines growing in 4" pots. The vines are approximately 6" long! White Hydrangea Vine (Hydrangea anomala petiolaris) Native of Japan and China and introduced into cultivation in 1865, this sturdy, deciduous vine will eventually grow to 25 feet or higher. Clusters of white blooms and smooth foliage make a rich-looking accent in your garden. Will need a sturdy structure such as a stone wall or strong fence to climb on from which it will eventually branch out to about 3 feet providing a deep garden texture that most climbers don't provide. Fall foliage will turn a golden yellow and even the reddish-brown bark peels and provides some winter interest and texture. Prune in late winter or very early spring to maintain good shape. Hardy in zone 4-9. The Hydrangea vine will grow in sun or shade and is considered one of the best vines for the shade!

Customer Reviews

Do not buy this plant1
I bought two of these plants for a shady deck that needed some privacy from Hirt's Gardens via Amazon. The plants arrived this week and I couldn't believe how small they were for the price I paid. The condition seemed OK, although I thought the packaging was a bit odd, but the plants were not the product dimension that they advertised, instead they were about 4 inch pot in diameter. It would take some time to grow to the advertised dimensions. I contacted Hirts and received an email simply stating 'send them back'. When I replied asking how the postage would work etc, I received no further input. Save your money and try and find somewhere locally to buy your plants, at least you know what you are getting and don't have to pay the shipping cost!!!
