The Warriors and Wordsmiths of Freedom, A great little book!!5
I was more than satisfied with this little book!! I had the privilege to meet the author Linda McDonald-Lewis while attending the "All Clan Gathering" in Scotland this summer. She told me that her book would be interesting and readable for even a 14 year old. How right she was. I am definitely not a teen-ager but I can vouch for her correctness about the book being reader friendly as well as engaging! I found the book hard to put down. I carried it around with me until I finished it. I started underlining information that I thought was worth remembering when I noticed that I was highlighting practically the whole book. I wish I had read it before taking my trip to Scotland. Now when I return and I will return, I will be armed with the wonderful history of the ever loyal beloved Scots! My recommendation is for anyone who is interested in an easy read, well documented history of Scotland, "The Warriors and Wordsmiths of Freedom" is one you will definitely want to purchase.

I found this book both interesting and insightful, and would encourage anyone with interest in Scotland or American history to definitely purchase it. It's a book I plan on keeping, and to me some of the quotes alone are worth the price.
