Really nice way to encourage writing5
Write. Write your crazy thoughts, your frustrations, your daily adventures or drudgery. , Encourage everyone you know to write. If you have children, insist they write. Honestly, it's mentally and physically helpful.
Having said that - there is something about a nice journal that makes people WANT to write. So buy one for your friend, your kid, that person you have to buy for and don't know what to buy.

I've bought many journals over the years for myself and as gifts. This feels great to the touch, is nice quality leather, big enough to write in without a table but small enough to stash in a large pocket. It's less expensive than others I have tried of the same quality and the fun colors and engraving choices make it even more appealing. Practically speaking, a composition notebook will do the same job, cheaper. However, if you want something to encourage yourself or someone else to write, I recommend these journals.

I gave this as a gift and it went over very well. It is very small, but it's a nice journal to just take with you and write done important memories or thoughts.

This is a pretty nice journal; I especially like that it has lined pages. The cover is good and has stood up perfectly over time. Can't complain.
