This Charming Man: A NovelThis Charming Man: A Novel by Marian Keyes
Buy new: $16.47 / Used from: $3.75
Marian Keyes does it again! Some people complained about the way Lola's pov was written but it didn't bother me. It was a bit short but that's the way I write emails and didn't bother me at all.
Lucia Lucia: A Novel (Ballantine Reader's Circle)Lucia Lucia: A Novel (Ballantine Reader's Circle) by Adriana Trigiani
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01
Loved this book. Was so real you could just picture the whole family and the characters were great. Would LOVE to see this as a movie.
My Best Friend's GirlMy Best Friend's Girl by Dorothy Koomson
Buy new: $5.99 / Used from: $0.01
This was so sad but worth the read! Ms. Koomson has a gift for storytelling and you could understand everyone's pov in the book even if the other characters couldn't.
The Little Lady AgencyThe Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne
Buy new: $9.36 / Used from: $0.01
I really liked all of Hester Browne's book with her absolutely likable (even tho she's a bit of a push-over) heroine Melissa Romeny-Jones. Who among us wouldn't want to be able to don a blonde wig, create an alter-ego called Honey and tell everyone what-for in a proper English way?
The Devil Wears PradaThe Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01
A bit of a twenty-something whine to it but so well written and interesting you can get over it. Much different than the movie so don't use that excuse not to read it (as I did for a long time)
The Beach HouseThe Beach House by Jane Green
Buy new: $16.47 / Used from: $0.01
Really liked this book. Getting over her divorce in real life has freed Jane Green up from writing about women with terrible husbands. All of you will wish for a Beach House to escape to after reading.
The Other WomanThe Other Woman by Jane Green
Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $0.01
You could relate to Ellie in the book trying to please her new mother-in-law by trying to fit into a ready made family after not really have one of her own. it was a bit far fetched at points by Jane green's writing style always makes it believable. Great author.
The Chocolate Lovers' ClubThe Chocolate Lovers' Club by Carole Matthews
Buy new: $15.38 / Used from: $0.05
This is the first Carole Matthews book I read and I was pleasantly surprised. Fun, light, enjoyable read about four friends that all of us can relate to in one or more ways!
Little EarthquakesLittle Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner
Buy used from: $0.01
The best book from a good author. I found this a (welcome) departure from the rest of Jennifer Weiner's books. Anyone that was a first time mom can definitely relate to all the characters in this book!
I Don't Know How She Does ItI Don't Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01
As a working mom I totally related to Kate in this book. It shows us how easy it is to get sucked into "doing it all" but nothing gets' done very well.
Sushi for Beginners: A NovelSushi for Beginners: A Novel by Marian Keyes
Buy new: $10.79 / Used from: $0.01
I loved this book and have read it a few times. My favorite Marian Keyes book (read all of them, they're great), I really enjoyed the lead character, Ashling, and loved her personality. The setting, an upstart woman's magazine in Ireland adds to the general yumminess of the book.
Cocktails for ThreeCocktails for Three by Madeleine Wickham
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01
I liked these books better than the Sophie Kinsella's (the same author) these books are a bit less frivolous and more relatable. You want to be the four friend in this book about a group of three.
Francesca's PartyFrancesca's Party by Patricia Scanlan
Buy used from: $0.01
Picked this book up by chance and really loved it altho her books seem to be hard to find. Francesca's husband is having an affair with a younger woman and is surprised when Francesca gets a backbone and throws him out.
Baby ProofBaby Proof by Emily Giffin
Buy new: $5.58 / Used from: $3.24
For those who are married have have an agreed upon "deal" (in this case no babies) and then the other changes his mind...an interesting look at how things can fall apart.
The Undomestic GoddessThe Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella
Buy new: $10.08 / Used from: $0.01
Okay, so this is a little far fetched but a fun frivolous read and for those workaholics such as Samantha, who can't even enjoy a day at the spa without being consumed by her job.
