From the Publisher
Whimsical or profound, every invention began as an idea. Success stories abound of those who became rich by creating the right machine, gadget, or toy at the right time. Yet the success stories do not tell us how the ideas made their way from the imagination to the retail shelves. Because many aspiring inventors do not know how to launch a new product, many promising ideas never come to fruition. For established and hopeful inventors, the answers have arrived. Don Kracke, an inventor whose product ideas have generated over one billion dollars in retail sales, reveals his success secrets in Turn Your Idea or Invention into Millions.

From the Author
"You don't have to be a specialist to come up with a valid, marketable idea," Kracke observes. "Think about the problems you run into every day, then solve them."

Kracke shows readers how to think like professional inventors: testing the viability of product ideas, researching the competition, and defining the target audience. Citing over sixty examples from his experience as a practicing inventor, Kracke also details:
• obtaining patents, copyrights, and trademarks
• calculating wholesale and retail prices
• leveraging marketer's interest into free help
• licensing to a manufacturer
• avoiding scams and rip-offs

Packed with important, practical applications5
Any interested in the world of inventions or creative design will find Turn Your Idea Or Invention Into Millions an important guide to thinking like a professional inventor, from obtaining patents, copyrights and trademarks to calculating wholesale and retail prices and avoiding scams. Any inventor will find this packed with important, practical applications.

good book for "nick nack" inventors3
This book is entertaining and shows that perserverence pays off. It is focused towards a retail, low cost product. For example, if your product will use a sales pitch like that on the cover of this book, buy it. If you want to build something for the auto industry or for commercial use, it may have less relevance to your product. I found "Patent it Yourself" to have similar sales information as well as real-world forms, contracts and other items that will help structure a successful sale. BTW, I am a multiple utility patent holder.

Great start for a creative mind4
This book is just what I needed to start me on the invention process. It showed me what the next steps are after you have that "good idea". Don lists many resources and throughout the book gives snapshots of his experiences. It was a big help and others can learn from it. The more important point however, is that he informs you of many "watchouts" and potential inventors will gain the streetsmarts to move to the next level.
