Product Description

As announced in an exclusive interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Australian mother Priscilla Dunstan has the world talking with the discovery of the secret language of babies. This breakthrough in infant care is the result of one mother's intuition that began nearly a decade of investigation and international research. The Dunstan Baby Language DVD teaches parents the 5 cries all newborns use to communicate their everyday needs from day 1. You will know when your baby is hungry, tired, needs burping, has lower wind or is simply uncomfortable. By learning this System parents are able to settle their baby faster, resulting in happier babies who sleep longer and cry less - something every new parent would wish for.

'Nothing is as thrilling as becoming a new mom', says Dr. Maureen O Brien, PhD, child development expert and best selling author of Watch Me Grow: I'm One-Two-Three. 'And nothing is as daunting as having a crying newborn. Mothers everywhere know the feeling of enormous love and responsibility that is the hallmark of becoming a new parent. When I first encountered the work of Dunstan Baby in 2006, the story had already caught the attention of key influencers and the media worldwide, including Oprah Winfrey. I was captivated by the System's potential to empower new parents. To be able to listen and know what an infant needs would revolutionize the experience of parenting... from trial and error (lots of error!) to calm and confident caregiving. It would enable parents to develop a deeper bond of understanding, love and trust with their baby and also with each other. What better way to support new families...' --Dr. Maureen O'Brien, Child Development Expert and Published Author

'As parents we want to think that we know what's best for the baby. Based on the System, the baby is telling us some very basic things that he needs...and we just have to respond. It's brought Caleb and I closer and without a doubt it's brought my wife and myself even closer.' Eddie father of Caleb --Eddie, father of Caleb

Good but overpriced3
I think she's on to something, but she could have said it on one DVD and had it cost less. I agree with other reviewers who said that the DVD could have gone more into the experiences of the workshop participants.

As for the value of the information: Neh (hunger) was the best one. Eairh (sound babies (and adults, for that matter) make when they are struggling to poop) and Owh (yawn) are totally intuitive no-brainers. And it's next to impossible to distinguish between Eh (upper gas) and Heh (discomfort). So my main take-away was knowing the difference between hunger and not-hunger.

If you do get this DVD, get it very early. The language only applies to the first three months. And knowing it can keep you a little more sane in those first few days with a new baby when all you're feeling is panic and frustration. After three months, as things settle down, you get to know intuitively what your baby is "saying" anyway.

A Great System5
The Dunstan Baby Language is excellent. My wife and I thought we were coping (as this was our second child), but were finding being parents of a newborn again very stressful. We watched the DVD's and straight away started to hear the different cries of our baby. It is now week 8 and James is a settled and relaxed little bub because we know what he needs. The supporting info helps and there are some good settling techniques. Much less stress and we get a lot more sleep.

Fantastic!5
I'm a new mom of four days and I purchased this DVD for myself 3 weeks ago after hearing a little about it from a friend. Boy am I impressed! The information given is very simple and easy to follow. I was instantly able to recognize Mason's different cries and take appropriate action. Otherwise I would probably be tearing my hair out trying to figure out that he needed to eat yet again after just finishing a meal. Worth every penny and then some.
