Calvin W. Edwards was the senior editor of the Youthwalk Devotional Bible for Walk Thru The Bible Ministries.

For much of his adult life, Len Woods has been involved in student ministry. He’s been a wild-eyed summer intern, a clueless part-time youth director, and a mistake-making full-time student pastor. He’s been a bumbling adult volunteer as well as a stumbling father of teenage sons. The former editor of Youthwalk, Len has also authored and helped create numerous books and Bible study materials for youth and youth leaders. A graduate of LSU and Dallas Theological Seminary, Len is now the lead pastor at Christ Community Church in Ruston, Louisana, where he still goofs up on a regular basis.

Devotional for Outside, Not Inside
Depending on what you want from a devotional, this can be good or boring. If you want something to help you act well, I would recommend this as an AWESOME book for you. If you're going for the spiritual side, this is probably not what you're looking for. This focuses on acting like a Christian, and following God's action rules. There is a little bit of spiritual growth stuff in here, but not much. I wanted the spiritual stuff, and I wasn't satisfied with what I got out of it.

This Bible will stimulate youth to read it.
This is a Bible that will stimulate youth to read it. It is relavent to today's issues and has many clear biblical answers to problems that haunt our youth. It will encourage youth to study and ask themselves where they are coming from in their personal Christian walk. As a youth leader the bible studies inside the Bible are fast paced, interesting and apply to today. The whole WWJD culture will grasp on to this Bible.

This bible truly reaches out to the younger generation.
This bible has created a hunger and excitement in my youth group. It touches on subjects familiar to this generation. As a leader I learned so much from the "Hot Topic" sections dealing with problems and sensitive subjects of this generation. If you're buying for a group make sure each person receives one. The demand for this bible among my group has been unbelievable. The devotionals added to each book of the bible are great for starting conversations and introducing themes. Overall, this bible has been a "GOD-SEND". No teenager should grow up without it.
