| Brownsploitation is my definiton of a film genre that targeted the Urban Upper Crust Indian and Western (read English) audience. The word itself is a homage to Blaxploitation! These films starred primarily Brown/Black? Indian actors with white women. Although never really criticized by civil rights groups for their use of stereotypes, they addressed the Anglo Indian situation, and were immensely popular among Upper Crust Indian and Western audiences. | ||
