Editorial Reviews
From AudioFile
This carefully produced collection includes two stories and features the well-chosen narrators the series is famous for. In ÒSquanto and the First Thanksgiving,Ó Graham GreeneÕs voice is quietly deep and serious, well suited to the sometimes heartbreaking story of the Native American Squanto, whoÕs captured, taken across the ocean, and sold into slavery before returning to help the Pilgrims. Glenn CloseÕs voice sounds slightly bemused as she creates the ghosts of ÒThe Legend of Sleepy Hollow,Ó humorously hinting at the storyÕs possible human perpetrators while still creating the full drama of the gory horsemanÕs late-night headless ride. Both narrations are delivered flawlessly, and both are well suited to their respective stories. The original music provided by Paul McCandless and Tim Story further enhances this fine production.
